Thank you Jesus that you loved us before we ever loved you and that you had a plan to save us from the very beginning. Your grace is amazing!

Good News
Last night at Foundations we were discussing repentance from dead works in comparison to repentance from sin. Many Christians in South Africa have grown up in a denomination that focuses on works and performance to gain salvation from sin and continued relationship with God. After reading several key verses such as Romans 3:20-28 and 2 Timothy 1:8-9 one of the young men in our group settled back into his chair and with an expression of utter peace said, "Wow, this is genuinely good news." My reaction was to tear up and giggle at the same time.

Foundation Stones
We had our first meeting today with everyone involved with Foundation Stones for Teens. There is such talent in the body of Christ!! The content is decided and now we seek the Lord for the concept and let the Spirit guide us. I'm so excited and expect God to give some big ideas in the next couple of weeks. Pray for Derek as he drives this and for everyone we are working with to keep our hearts sensitive to God's leading. I'm so thankful my mom is here. Last week the kids were out of school for Easter holidays so Mom kept the kids for us so we could work with the Kings Cross team to finalize Foundations Stones (for adults). Tomorrow we continue, but we have to be finished by Wednesday when everything needs to go to print. This process is all so unfamiliar to us, but the elders of our church who have written it are wonderful. We love our time with them and are learning so much. This curriculum is incredible! I'm amazed to see how God is already using it in His church and know it will be a blessing to believers the world over.
