Discovered today that my drivers license is no longer valid in South Africa because of my status as a permanent resident. Apparently it hasn't been for the last 2 years and therefore I'm not covered by our car insurance. Crazy! God's timing never ceases to amaze me but this time it's cracking me up. My parents arrived in South Africa last Saturday for a six week stay. As visitors their Texas licenses are accepted here by both the traffic department and our insurance. So today, mom drove me around for activities with the kids and a trip to the grocery store. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I cannot believe this is happening, but know having my parents around to drive me was God's way of saying He's got it handled. I'm off to the department tomorrow to see if they will kindly let me apply for the SA license or to sign up for my first lesson and test for my learner's permit.
Lord, I am so frustrated and a little overwhelmed by this but Your kindness and care of me cannot be ignored. Please give me favor tomorrow when I need it and grace to handle whatever comes. You are a good God and I love You.

Can't help but laugh at this one. Love that your mom is driving you around like you are 15 :).
