Discipleship

We are so excited about the doors of discipleship that have opened to us lately. The ladies Bible study in Phokeng is going very well. We are slowly working our way through the book of Matthew. The ladies seem to light up as they discover nuggets of God's truth.

Derek is teaching this group of young men twice a week and has been so blessed by their eagerness to learn more of God's character and Word. Some of the guys in this group will be our first African students in the DTS.

Mike Grimes has returned to Georgia but not before touching Johannes' life in a way that will last a lifetime. Johannes has been on staff at the Shelter for nearly 5 years and is one of the hardest working men we have ever known. Derek had the privilege of baptising Johannes several years ago and now gets to spend one night a week discipling him. During his visit, Mike taught Johannes how to build more beds and they worked side by side for several days. The night Mike left Rebecca asked Johannes how he was feeling. Johannes smiled and with tears in his eyes said, "I feel like my father as gone." We are so thankful that Mike will be coming back again. Thank you Mike for all the love you showed our family & friends during your stay! You were a blessing to so many.
