July DTS

We are really excited about our July DTS. The students are on fire for God and are all eager to go deeper with Him. Last week the lecture subject was God's Redemptive Plan from Genesis to Revelation and on most days the students didn't want lecture to end. This week we start the subject of Spiritual Disciplines based on the book Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster. It is another foundational week and very important. This week the students also begin a focus in Phokeng on prayer. The children in Phokeng are struggling to pray their own thoughts and feelings to the Lord. They are used to repeating the Lord's prayer or specific prayers for food and such. We have shared with Him the gospel message many times, but something has been missing in terms of prayer. This term our focus is to show them how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus and pray to Him straight from their heart. This is an exciting time for us!
