Friends

This is Sergie, a YWAM base leader in Russia. He came to visit us last week for a couple of days to travel around with Derek to scout out the possibilities for bringing mission teams to SA and receiving teams in Russia. He shared his heart for the Lord and what his country is experiencing. The people in Russia are hungry for the God and in need of our prayers. What a delight he was! Derek thoroughly enjoyed his time with Sergie and we are looking forward to what God might do with this connection.

This is my new Bible study group in Phokeng. I'm praying for these ladies and the growth God has in mind for all of us. One woman this week was shocked to learn that she sins. She believes all sin is forced upon us by Satan and that we are not responsible for any wrong we do. I asked her "have you lied?have you stolen? have you hated someone in your heart?" She answered yes to all three but I couldn't tell if she was grasping that the desire to do those things is within her and that it is God alone who makes us free. She is currently in a church that does not preach the truth of Christ and their is a lot of corrupted theology in her head. Language is also a problem for us and my prayer each week is that God will go beyond my weaknesses to reach the hearts of the women. I believe revelation is coming and ask for your prayers that the women keep coming to the study and keep seeking. Last week they asked for notebooks and pens to write down scriptures so that they could learn them at home and and pray using them. Yeah!! I pray the Word of God will wash over them and make them new!!! I know it can!
