Aobakwe

Derek and I have the privilege of mentoring a young student at our children's school. Her name is Aobakwe and she is absolutely exceptional! She comes from a beautiful family and lives in a nearly community. During our first visit to her house there was a funeral going on few doors down so most of the neighbourhood so us arrive. One by one Aobakwe's family came back to their how to see us. They were all so kind and eventually someone started giggling and they told us that they were becoming famous with having white people come to visit them. That is such a strange thing to even type. Its amazing how we can live so closely in proximity and yet be so isolated within our own comfort zones. We love getting to spend time with Aobakwe and pray we will be a blessing to her over the last few years she has in high school.
