Derek and I are cooking Texas Chili at the upcoming World Food Fair and part of the promotion for the event is for the next 6 weeks a different family/group will cook a meal for the newspaper. They'll do a little write up and post pics with the recipe. Our hope is that it will get mouths watering and people excited to come out on cold winter's night to taste some great food and make some friends. I didn't want to do my Texas Chili for the paper so I did Chicken Tortilla Soup. Derek and I were cracking up. The journalist was incredibly nice and we enjoyed just hanging out with him and talking life and Jesus. But then he gave us both chef hats and aprons to wear. First time Derek has ever worn an apron I am sure! This whole event is filled with expectation and enthusiasm and we are so happy to play a part. Still praying for that food box from Texas to arrive!
