Please continue to pray for Glady's and her family. The funeral was Saturday. I didn't attend, but another friend who is one of Glady's pastor's wives did and said this, "The funeral was heart wrenching this morning. I am still emotionally affected and drained. The Lord was present and through the grief and pain we could be joyful in the hope that we will see Ronnie in heaven one day. Please continue to pray for Gladys' husband - he is carrying the burden of leading his family through this grief."
As of today, the police have charged three women with a crime in the case, I'm not sure if it's murder, manslaughter, or what. From a justice standpoint we are pleased that something is happening. This kind of thing occurs so often in South Africa that it is hardly responded to by authorities. We are trusting in God for healing for the family and healing to the a broken nation. Glady's has two other children, but needs to work full time to provide for her family. She is now planning to take to live with the grandparents so they can be safe. Another reality in Africa, parents are separate from their children because of employment. The situation is tough all the way around, but God is good and we need His perspective and hope in all this. Thank you so much for your prayers for this sweet family.
