This week

This is our last week with Wim and Mireille from Holland. Oh, how we have loved every minute with this family! I, Rebecca, have class every evening, all week for Big Picture and am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the hours. The kids have two days off school. It's Monday morning at breakfast and we are already celebrating a three day week for them! Derek and I both have two Bible study/small groups to lead and we don't take the time lightly. So much to do and prepare. Yesterday, a water leak starting pouring from our concrete wall in the scullery, filling the floor and damaging the cupboards. So today we'll hopefully have a visit from the plumber and probably some banged up walls while they look for the leak. Did I mention we are studying James? Derek laughs before every study I lead because he says it's the only way to cope with what he knows is coming. Our studies tend to follow or invite God to teach certain issues. So right now, we are counting it all JOY, no matter the leaks or the long hours or the goodbyes. All JOY!!!

Oh God, we are so happy to be in your family. We love you and rejoice in a new week with new opportunities to speak your name and show your mercy. Lord we need your grace this week. Fill us with your love and kindness and let your truth overflow from our mouth and lives. We are starting the week tired and that's never nice, but we trust that You have great things in store. Keep us in line. Keep us focused on You. Amen.
