Rustenburg in bloom

The trees in Rustenburg are bloom! The purple flowers of the Jacaranda are starting to show up around town. Just the site of all the life blooming around us is giving us hope! We're in a spiritual battle for the city and nation. Striking is now affecting food delivery and petrol availability. Now it a serious way yet, but enough to cause everyone to stop and think. Lord, please press your people to pray! 12,000 miners have been laid off in the last week and that's a lot of families in turmoil right now.

We've been digging into the Lord regarding all that is happening and praying in hope for all that He could bring about through the unrest. Today as I looked at my 3/4 full petrol tank I thought, "If I have to go without or if fuel prices keep going up, but revival breaks out and lives are saved isn't it worth it?" There are distractions all around. Some of the obstacles we've personally faced in last weeks are obvious attempts from the enemy to bring discouragement and take us out of the fight. But, we want the glory of God to be revealed here. Not just in pockets and corners, but across the city like a banner.  We want your name lifted up and praised! Lord, we need redemption. As a people and nation, we have made so many mistakes and have hurt one another so deeply, but you are our redemption! Jesus, come make yourself at home here. Turn hearts toward you. Teach us what devotion really looks like.

Please pray we will persevere in the fight for this city and nation. Pray for revival in South Africa. Pray for us to keep our eyes on God and trust in Him for tomorrow.
