Life is good, stolen laptop and all!

Life is good. The last few weeks have been jam packed with kids going back to school, getting our family schedule worked out, getting the OVC kids set with uniforms and stationery, getting the house ready for my mom and dad's visit!  My ladies Bible studies started back up last week. We're looking at a great season of study!! Derek's plate is full with vision casting and meetings and networking and discipling.... Life is really good!!!

But wait I forget to say. Derek's laptop was stolen last Thursday night. Crazy! While we slept someone, with either a ladder or on a buddy's shoulders reached in our window and stole Derek's laptop while it was charging on the night stand. We really don't know how they did it. Our fault - we shouldn't have left it there. And of course the thief who stole a beloved ministry tool. Kyla's response was precious, "Mommy, maybe that person didn't have a computer and needed one and thought it was okay to take Daddy's."

We really hate to lose the computer, but Derek was smart and most of the important stuff was saved on icloud. The rest we can work through and either retrace our steps or start over on the work. Of all the crime that happens in South Africa, I'm not losing any sleep over this one.

Insurance will pay out! And without raising our rates.  Police were here three times and were really kind and helpful.  Of course Derek and one of the officers ended up talking Jesus and we look forward to seeing the officer at our church very soon!
