Joy in the Journey

Both my Wednesday morning and Monday night Bible study groups are working through this book. My hope is to get started with the teenagers in Phokeng after exams are finished this term. If you've never read it this is a great book! Since it's what so many of the ladies I know are studying and my head and heart are so heavily invested in it right now, I decided to make this our theme for our annual women's retreat coming up this month. Yesterday, I started prepping for our Friday night meal. We should have about 60 women for dinner and I'm making various kinds of soup. Malachi had a friend over from school today and she got a kick out of watching me prep 6 soups at once. Behold my very messy kitchen! I've got Moroccan soup roasting in the oven, Hamburger soup on the stove, and Chicken Tortilla in the crock pot. I'm praying God will do something special in our hearts during this retreat. If we want to persevere in the disciplines described in this book we need His grace to do it. I'm praying for a deep longing to well up in the hearts of all those that are coming! This retreat is going to be great!!
