Bible School

Derek is absolutely thriving at the Bible school. He loves spending time with the students and staff. Last week during a discussion on relationships, he gave his testimony and a talk. All the good, the bad, and the ugly. In the culture here, relationships, even amongst believers, are kept hidden and secret. There is no counsel, no discipleship through the process and as you can imagine sin is given plenty of room to prosper. Derek is always transparent, but in this setting he held nothing back in speaking to these future pastors regarding dating, marriage, and sex.  It is our greatest hope that what Derek pours into the students will flow into thousands as they lead churches in the future. At the same time, Derek is learning more than he ever imagined!! He is getting to take classes alongside the students, working on his own theology degree while getting to disciple fellow students as one who has been in full-time ministry for over 15 years. What an awesome God we serve!!
