Cross-life

We've chosen the cross-life. We know that means surrender and submission to the heart of God and His plans for us. We know that means suffering, but in light of the world, we have experienced very little outside of our own heartbreak. Today is like any other day, the opportunity to say, "Lord please use me as you want to expand your kingdom." Derek is off the the Bible school this morning and later a meeting to add another couple to our new STEPS run. We have prayed for a partner couple, and after a year not finding one we made a decision last week to run it alone, but only to one or 2 people. Less than a week later we have another couple needing the course and two leaders to do it with them!! Praise God!! We have leaders!!! Thank you Lord!!!

My morning will start at a local high school where I'll be talking with two female students. From time to time I'm called to this school to be a sounding board and offer biblical counsel. The girls have a choice between a professional or me. I probably seem safer in their minds, but the things I hear have brought me to my knees and broken my heart. I have no idea what I'm walking into today, but the Lord does and He is more than ready to handle whatever comes up. I pray I will be sensitive to His Spirit and that His words would rule my mouth and His love rule my heart.

The rest of the day for both Derek and I will be studying and preparing for our remaining teaching times this week. That's our plan anyway. Lord, please use us today to advance your kingdom. Give us eyes to see those in need and hearts quick to obey what you would ask us to do. We love you. Amen.
