Lighthouse Children's Shelter

Its not everyday that we visit the Lighthouse Children's Shelter. This incredible Place of Safety for children in crisis is where we served as Associate Directors from 2002 to 2006. It was the first years of our marriage, the place we brought home our two baby boys, and met some of our dearest friends. It was also the place God stretched our hearts wide open concerning orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa. These children will forever hold a special place in our hearts because of our days at the Lighthouse. Annah, Dineo, Lewis, Thabo, Thom, Jeanette, Innocent, Innocentia, and many more...we pray you are happy, healthy, and loved deeply tonight. The Lighthouse no longer exist in name. It has since folded into another ministry to children, but it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Every able child who stepped foot on the property has spent a few minutes in this tree. While visiting recently, we could not drive away without another quick climb.
