Right now we have two small STEPS groups going. Derek and I meet with a couple on Friday mornings and another two couples on Sunday afternoons. These families are experiencing the destructive results of sin in their lives and thought patterns. It is impossible to sit with these families week after week and not take a look at our own lives. I'm so grateful for God's incredible grace and mercy to work within our wandering, frail selves to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ. He is our perfect witness of love, service and discipline.
This week I received a short text message from one of the couples we meet with and it was such sweet encouragement. "I can really never thank you enough for letting God use you to work through you with us."
Our response is virtually the same. We are so grateful that God allows us the opportunity to spend our days speaking of Him and sharing His word with others. We pray the lives of these families will be forever changed as they spend more and more time in His word and experience His saving grace to free them from their sin.
