Meet Mangi

Mangi is the aunt and caregiver to three children in the orphan care project, including Olifele who lived at the Lighthouse for over 2 years. Mangi is also a regular at my Bible Study in Phokeng. This past week I took along an African friend of mine who is going to help lead the study when our baby is born. My friend was amazing! The whole morning was amazing! Because my friend is Tswana speaking and really grounded in the Word, the conversation just flowed amongst everyone. Even Martha's husband came to join us for a while. Mangi has been coming since January but she usually doesn't say much. Martha is teaching her to read and this week Mangi read Scripture to the group for the first time. She also spoke and shared so many things that she has been learning. It was hard for us to see Olifele move back to Phokeng this year, but God has still given us a role in his life only now it's through discipling Mangi. Pretty cool!

God's plan for his children is amazing even when we don't understand it, like with Olefele. I'm so glad you have someone to help you with the Bible study now! I'm praying for you.
